About Me

The handsome devil you can see in the photo is me, Graham. I have been involved in Wood Pigeon crop protection shooting in West and North Yorkshire for as long as I can remember and shoot over thousands of acres of some of the most beautiful countryside you could wish to see, protecting crops for farmers and providing you with some great shooting!

Pigeon shooting can be an exhilarating day and you will shoot some of the most challenging birds available. Wood Pigeons are a formidable opponent and reading their lines is a skill and talent you will learn.

As part of your experience, before your arrival, I will recce the areas available and find where the birds are doing the most damage to confirm where we will be. On your arrival on shoot day, I’ll have the hide and decoys all set up ready to go!

About Your Day

Must Haves

To welcome you on either a guided or DIY day you must have a valid shotgun certificate, Shotgun, Cartridges and current BASC or similar insurance. Proof of both certificates will be required or you will not be able to shoot. We are now able to hire guns!

What you’ll need

For a comfortable day in the hide, I recommend a flask, butties, snacks and a bit of banter! Waterproof clothing and other attire to keep comfortable, gloves etc. Hopefully sunglasses and sun cream. We shoot in all weathers and are not put off by a little cold and rain!

A knife for butchering the birds is a useful addition but not essential. It is no problem if you do not wish to take the birds away with you. I will put the shot bird into the food chain, a cool box for stopping your meat spoiling on the journey home, freezer bags and hand cleaners are recommended.

Steady working dogs are more than welcome!

Pricing

DIY day £75 per gun

Semi-guided £200 per gun – The pattern and hide will be set for you, once settled you will be left to shoot.

Fully Guided £300 per gun – As above but with the pleasure of my experience and company.

A sporting day on a grouse moor or under a pheasant drive is, for me, one of the most exhilarating ways to spend some time.

As a qualified LANTRA shotgun loader, I can assist anyone from novice to experienced gun get the best from the day.

For your first time in the field I am there to help calm any nerves, guide you through the etiquette of a shoot, make sure all quarries are identified correctly, ensure your safety with gun handling and most of all, make sure you enjoy your day!

As a loader for an experienced gun, I make sure your day goes with bang.

If you are visiting the UK from overseas to shoot. I am now able to hire guns and supply cartridges for your day. Please note, i will need to see all relevant paperwork, insurance, and SGC.

The above is provided at a charge of £175 per day

Concierge

For those wishing to relax, shoot and not worry about a thing, my Drive & Load concierge service can allow you to do just that!

I’ll pick you up from wherever you’re staying, drive you to the shoot, load for the day, clean the guns and take you home. On our journey to the shoot I can let you know the names of fellow guns, game keeper, size of bag etc. to make you feel more at ease on arrival.

Concierge cost is at £350 per day + travel at 55p per mile
